Weiyel launches Bacillus cereus vomitoxin standard material

Published:2026-01-20 10:35 Editor:Weiyel

In early 2026, Nestlé initiated a preventative recall of multiple batches of infant formula in over 50 countries worldwide due to the detection of Bacillus cereus toxin in raw materials from its supplier, ARA.

Bacillus cereus, a common foodborne pathogen, can cause poisoning through food contamination, leading to health problems such as acute gastroenteritis and dehydration.

To support food safety testing, Weiyel has launched a series of reference materials, with specific product information shown in the table below:

Product  No. Product Name   Standard value Specification
SHAM_266207 Standard solution of Bacillus cereus vomitoxin in acetonitrile 50μg/mL 1mL
SHAM_266208 Standard solution of Bacillus cereus vomitoxin in acetonitrile 10μg/mL 1mL
SHAM_266210 Standard solution of Bacillus cereus vomitoxin-[13C6] isotope in acetonitrile 20μg/mL 1mL
